Last December a friend told me she might go to the BROOKFIELD ZOO for Christmas but then after the first of the year, she told me she couldn’t because of the weather to which I replied, “Just think how disappointed the penguins were because they got all dressed up and then you didn’t visit!” And that reminded me of the Penguin Story:
So this guy is driving into town one day and he sees all these penguins standing by the side of the road. He stops and thinks to himself, that sure is weird. Then he thinks he can’t just leave them there so he puts all of them in his car.
But then as he’s driving into town, he wonders what to do with all these penguins and that’s when he sees a police officer parked on the side of the road.
Well the police are pretty smart guys so he stops and says, “I found all these penguins on the side of the road so I picked them up. But now I don’t know what to do with them!”
The cop replied, “Take them to the zoo.”
Then next day this guy is driving into town again, he passes this same cop and the cop notices this guy still has all these penguins in his car.
So the cop pulls the guy over and says, “Yesterday I told you to take these penguins to the zoo.”
“I did” the guy replied, “and we had so much fun that today we’re going to a Cub’s game!”
So what’s the point of this story? If it made you chuckle a bit or even smile, then that’s the point! Also, every time you happen to find yourself in Chicago to visit the Brookfield Zoo, you’ll remember the Penguin Story.
